Our mission is to invoke thought and conversation when wearing/ using our product. The name “Vanity” comes from the biblical connotation of the word in the passage stating, “Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities: all is vanity” (Ecclesiastes 1:2). The Hebrew word for vanity in this case translates to “vapor” or “breath”. It can also be translated to “empty” or “of no purpose”. The preacher in this passage is portraying the fact that after exhausting all the luxuries and experiences that this world has to offer, it inevitably amounts to nothing. Chasing worldly goals that disappear when one takes their last breath would be living life in vain.
